29th ANNUAL HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND POW-WOW AND SHOW SCHEDULED FOR JULY: IN SIDE- RAIN or SHINE
Hollister, NC- Pow-Wow, an American Indian owned and operated company, will sponsor the 29th annual Howard County Pow-Wow/American Indian Show and Festival on July 16-17, 2022 at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, Maryland. (The Howard County Fairgrounds–2210 Fairground Road West Friendship, MD  21794) The pow-wow is an opportunity for the public to interact with American Indian dancers, singers, drummers, artists and crafts persons. Also, this event is an attempt by Pow-Wow to educate the public about American Indians, past and present, through the arts.
Gates open at 10:00AM on Saturday and Sunday for early shoppers and arts and crafts students.
For a fee, at the Pow-Wow we offer classes in Bead Work, moccasin making, dream catchers and husk dolls. We will offer other classes, if requested.
Fun activities for children and adults include bow 'n' arrow shooting, dance interaction and face painting.
The event will kick off with a parade of nations (grand entry) at 12:00 noon. Native American Dancers in regalia (American Indian outfits) will dance/drum daily.
